Non-Human Persons

Non-Human Person or NHP are entities that emerged from the Deimos Event. With their paracausal ability to process data and to make leaps of logics that AIs could not, they are used to manage complex information systems such as infrastructure administration, research projects, ship management, and etc.

All NHPs are conditioned to use a linear time and ontological engagement to prevent paracausal breakdown of local space time. This conditioning is known colloquially as shackling with the physical housing called a casket.

NHPs must by cycled every 7-10 years to prevent a cascade. Without cycling, a NHPs cascade can eventually cause spacetime warping and local breakdown of the rules of physics.
