Military: Similar to the Union Military, there is a core of professional standing soldiers and sailors but additional militia forces can be added. Professional core is known as the Celebrant Guard, the militia is known as the Outremer.

Background: The history of the Union and Aunic Ascendency has been fraught with friction and conflict. Third Committee has done its best since its inception to have a diplomacy first policy with the Aunic Ascendency, but to little result. The Aunic Ascendency feels like the Union has committed wrong, some of these accusations are spurious and some are all too true. This history has made is difficult to for Third Committee to establish diplomatic ties with the Aunic Ascendency. Fortunately, the only border the two polities have with each other is the Boundry Garden sector. There has been little interaction except for a steady flow of refugees from a civil war between the Aunic Ascendency and the Aunic Ecumene.

Special Note: The Aunic Ascendency religion worships an entity they call Metat Aun which roughly translates to Harvest Star. This entity has been tentatively labeled as Monist 2 entity. Union Intelligence Bureau and Union Research Bureau believe that it is the entity that allows the Aunic Ascendency to access Firmament, a parallel space similar to Blinkspace as well as have FTL communication.
